Tim Tortora has an extensive career in the entertainment industry and is currently focused on helping aspiring filmmakers discover how to break into the film industry and build a network that is durable so their careers can thrive.
Tim grew up in California, and he developed a passion for movies at 12yrs. He knew he wanted to work in a movie studio and TV, but he didn’t know-how. There was no one in that business. His mum was in the travel business while his dad was in the printing business.
In elementary school, Tim was a musician, and he went to college to be a musician. As he was learning, he realized he didn’t want to sit all day long practicing like the people who were better than him. He wanted to run a studio.
Tim kept moving forward. He started his career in marketing and moved up until he got into production. His goal was always the next thing, building networks and staying connected. Tim became the head of studio production at 30yrs, but he realized it was not really what he wanted. He didn’t want the life that they were living. So he figured out a different path, and it worked for him.
