Rough Day? Here's How to Get Back in the Saddle | Ep. 06
Delays are inevitable. Yet, the delays in the snags in the path are truly inconsequential. When we look at the world from a greater perspective, a small respite to massage your ass before jumping in the saddle does a little to the pace of the entire journey. Sure the end path may be of a slightly slower completion rate, but like the stroke of a brush across a canvas, paint will be left behind whether it was done quickly, or slowly.
What matters is that the momentum continues.
So yesterday wore your spirit down. OK. So yesterday your friends friends said something and put you in a mental funk. OK. So yesterday you didn't finish what you said you would do. OK.
Today you can get back in the saddle and move forward again. You do not need to be punished for having a bad day. This is an adventure. This is a game. When you drop the ball, you pick it up. Today you will approach all before you like this great adventure. Use the projects in front of you like training opportunities.
You can and you will improve with every new swing of the back. You can and you will make progress every time you show up. So go forward today, whether you are bruised or broken, whether you are hurt or ashamed, whether you are tired or defeated, get back in the saddle and let the Wind find your hair, let the horizon call you, and pull you towards your rebirth. Go a little further than you think possible today. Just a little.
And let that extra momentum be something to celebrate. Take pride in the fact that you got back up and as you're blazing forward today, pay attention to the scenery, to the details. The journey is a gift to you. Let yourself be filled with wonder, and you will forget the fatigue.
Surrender to the momentum and resistance will vanish.
